This tour is special because of driving on jeep up to the highest point of the island with the stunning panoramic view. Besides, like in other tours, we will visit such sights as Grandmother and Grandfather rocks, the mummified monk in Khunaram temple, the island’s highest waterfall Namuang 2, and Magic Garden. You will ride through rice plantations and will see the oldest and highest tree on the island. Elephant trekking, three animal shows, and delicious Thai tea are waiting for you.

Full-day tour on all-wheel-drive jeeps runs each day with English-speaking and Chinese-speaking guide (daily) and with Russian-speaking and German-speaking on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The tour lasts about eight hours.
You can choose the option with or without elephant trekking in a small family safari park with nine elephants.
At first, you will visit the temple at Plai Laem – the temple with the statue of the Goddess of mercy Guan Yin. Next, you will see the Big Buddha (Pra-Yai Temple), a 12-meter statue which was installed in 1972 on the bulk island of Fan in the Bangrak region in the north of Samui.
Then you will travel to the south of the island where you can enjoy the Grandmother and Grandfather rocks. In the Muslim village, you will visit the coconut processing farm. You will see how trained monkeys gather the coconuts. By the way, the Latin name of the palm tree is Cōcos nucifēra, it comes from the Portuguese word coco (“monkey”) and is given because of the holes on the nut that make it look like a monkey’s face. After a short show, the monkey will pose with coconut and you can take a photo with it. On the farm, you can taste the coconut. If you wish, you can buy organic coconut oil of the first (cold) pressing, made on the farm.
After coconut farm, you will have a long panoramic jeep ride along the jungle roads to the plantations of a village called Phutboon. You will be fascinated by one of the most unusual, impressive and very romantic places on Samui – a private viewpoint located at 615 meters above sea level, with a view of 360 ° degrees around and a very nice local restaurant – Jungle Route 360 °. This place can be called a small eco-settlement since the source of electricity here is solar energy, waste is sorted, organic waste is turned into compost for growing organic vegetables and fruits. If there is no fog, you will see Koh Pangan and Koh Tao, Bophut, Chaweng, Samui airport, the islands of the Angthong marine national park (primarily Paluai) and the coast of Khanom.
Lunch is very tasty, with a large selection of traditional Thai dishes, including the famous Tom Yam, Pad Thai, and fresh fruits. You will have time to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and make magical photos.
The guide will acquaint you with the famous rubber tree and tell about the traditional method of rubber extraction and the production of all kinds of latex products.
The next point of the tour is the famous Magic Garden. You can write a lot about it, but it’s better to see it. The creations of Mr. Nim, who lives here, are impressive and at times seem alive.
You will go to a local family farm where nine elephants are treated with awe and gentleness and fed ripe bananas (you can do it too). After fifteen minutes of jungle trekking and chatting with animals, you will travel to the last point of your journey – Namuang 2 waterfall, located on the territory of Namuang Safari Park, where you can refresh and swim in a cool waterfall. At this time on the waterfall, there is practically no one, and you can fully enjoy the beauty and sounds of the jungle.
After bathing it is time to go to the hotel! The staff will be very happy if you fill out the questionnaires by answering a few questions to improve the service.
If you want to ride a zip line, please inform us in advance, and we will stop at Sky Fox, where you can pass 4 or 7 stations. At lunchtime, vegetarian and vegan dishes are offered.
Im writing this sipping a much needed cocktail post the tour. Completely exhausted but worth it. The day prior we took a scooter around the island thinking we had seen it all but we were wrong. U really need to see a tour and these guys were great and funny too.
We were picked up earlier than expected. I guess it depends on your hotel location.
I recommend taking a travel sickness pill as the 4 wheel driving can be quite hilly but a load of fun. If you love a thrill make sure you have a turn on top of the 4 wheel drives but hold on tight!
We had plenty of time and no waiting in queues either. Maybe we got here at the end of school holidays so it was a bit more quiet? (Last week of January).
Id recommend brining a snack or 2 as they dont feed you until you reach the top of the mountain (spectacular by the way).
Only one other negative is the diesel fumes were a bit much at times as you are touring with about 3 or 4 other trucks and if you get stuck at the end of the line you get everyones exhaust. It didnt seem to bother other people on my truck but i had to breath through my shirt a few times. Other than that i feel i will have left the island with a better appreciation and love for it thanks to this tour. Highly recommended!
Very good excursion, I liked it greatly. We visited main places of interest, saw elephants' show and how monkeys picked coconuts. We also climbed up the mountains where some fruit trees grew and there was a wonderful view of Koh Samui.
